Abstract

Sistem steering/kemudi merupakan bagian kompunen utama yang berfungsi untuk mengatur arah gerakan roda depan dengan Memutar Steer ke kanan Atau Ke kiri. Sistem steering yang paling banyak digunakan yaitu sistem steering rack and pinion. Sistem steering mobil pada umumnya ditunjang dengan mekanisme power steering untuk menunjang keamanan,kestabilan dan lebih responsif. Kemampuan bermanuver ini perlu didukung oleh sistem steering kendaraan yang baik sehingga kendaraan tetap aman pada saat digunakan. Pengujian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan pengujian performa alat secara langsung. Dari hasil pengujian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan momen steering pada saat penambahan beban penumpang pada atv buggy, hasil pengujian pengaruh derajad putar steering/kemudi 450 pada pembebanan 190 kg. Moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 26,8 n/m. Pada pembebanan 260 kg, moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 36,4 n/m. Dan pembenan 338 kg,moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 47,3 n/m. Sedangkan pada pengujian sudut putar 900 pembebanan 190 kg, moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 38,0 n/m. Pada pembebanan 260 kg, moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 52,0 n/m dan pembenanan 338 kg, moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 67,6 n/m selanjutnya pada sudut putar steering/kemudi 1800, pada pembebanan 190 kg, moment putar steering/kemudi sebesar 36,4 n/m. Sedangkan pada pembebanan 260 kg, sebesar 51,4 n/m. Dan 338 kg, moment putaran steering/kemudi sebesar 66,7 n/m hal ini diakibatkan oleh tekanan beban di pusat kemudi. Momen dihitung berdasarkan panjang kemudi dikalikan dengan massa beban (penumpang). The steering system is the main component that functions to regulate the direction of movement of the front wheels by turning the steering wheel to the right or to the left. The most widely used steering system is the rack and pinion steering system. Car steering systems are generally supported by a power steering mechanism to support safety, stability and be more responsive. This maneuverability needs to be supported by a good vehicle steering system so that the vehicle remains safe when used. This test uses an experimental method with direct tool performance testing. From the test results, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the steering moment when the passenger load is added to the ATV buggy, the results of testing the influence of the 450 degree steering/steering wheel at a load of 190 kg. The steering torque is 26.8 n/m. At a load of 260 kg, the steering torque is 36.4 n/m. And the loading is 338 kg, the steering torque is 47.3 n/m. Meanwhile, in testing the turning angle of 900 with a load of 190 kg, the steering torque is 38.0 n/m. At a loading of 260 kg, the turning moment of the steering/steering wheel is 52.0 n/m and loading is 338 kg, the moment of turning the steering/steering wheel is 67.6 n/m then at the angle of rotation of the steering/steering is 1800, at the loading is 190 kg, the turning moment is steering of 36.4 n/m. While at the loading of 260 kg, it is 51.4 n/m. And 338 kg, the moment of steering rotation is 66.7 n/m this is caused by the load pressure at the center of the steering wheel. The moment is calculated based on the length of the rudder multiplied by the mass of the load (passengers).
