Abstract

This study aims to determine : 1) the effect of e-commerce on purchasing decisions, and 2) the level of relationship between e-commerce and purchasing decisions. The design of this research is quantitave research and is a survey research. The research population is the consumer of mobile phone buyers in Azilla Ponsel, with a random sampling of 50 people. The results of the research on the results of the simple regression coefficeints show that there is a positive and significant influence between e-commerce on the decision to purchase cellphones at Azilla Ponsel. Thus, the first hypothesis which states that :”there is a significant influence between e-commerce on the decision to purchase cellphone at Azilla Ponsel” is proven. The results of a simple correlation analysis resulted in an rxy value of 0,807, indicating that there is a close and positive relationship between the use of e-commerce (X) and purchasing decisions(Y). the result of the coefficient of determination (r2) is 0,6512 or 65,12%, the value indicates that the level of resulting from the use of e-commerce on purchasing decisions is 65,12%, while the remaining influence is 34,88% is the influence of the variable othersthat were not indentified in this study. These other variables can be in the form of: consumer behavior, such as: consumer attitudes and motivations, as well as the sophistcation of the features of the mobile phoneproduct itself. The test results of the simple correlation coefficient show that there is a close and positive relationship beteen e-commerce and purchasing decisions. Thus the second hypothesis which states that “there is a close and positive relationship between e-commerce and the decisio to purchase mobile phones at Azilla Ponsel”is proven.
