Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang masih mengalami endemi demam berdarah dengue (DBD). Daun pepaya (Carica papaya linn) menjadi alternatif larvasida karena daun pepaya mengandung senyawa untuk menghentikan perkembangbiakan larva nyamuk DBD. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persentase dan perbedaan kematian larva Aedes albopictus serta mengetahui Lethal Time dan Lethal Concentration. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Tanah Bumbu. Metode penelitian yaitu true eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian posttest only control group design. Jumlah sampel yaitu 720 larva Aedes albopictus instar III. Hasil pengukuran ekstrak etanol daun pepaya menunjukkan konsentrasi 7% menunjukkan hasil 19,2%, konsentrasi 8% menunjukkan hasil 30,8%, konsentrasi 9% menunjukkan hasil 40,8%, dan konsentrasi 10% menunjukkan hasil 50,8% setelah 24 jam pengukuran. Hasil Uji Kruskall Wallis menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun pepaya konsentrasi 7%, 8%, 9%, dan 10% semuanya menunjukkan nilai < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna. Hasil uji probit menunjukkan nilai LT50 konsentrasi 10% adalah 22,798 jam dan nilai LT99 konsentrasi 10% adalah 58,724 jam. Hasil uji probit menunjukkan nilai LC50 dalam waktu 10 jam adalah 6,781% dan nilai LC99 dalam waktu 10 jam adalah 45,893%. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak daun pepaya untuk mematikan 100% larva Aedes albopictus. Indonesia is a country that is still experiencing endemic dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). Papaya leaves (Carica papaya linn) are an alternative to larvicides because papaya leaves contain compounds to stop the proliferation of dengue mosquito larvae. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage and differences in mortality of Aedes albopictus larvae and to determine the Lethal Time and Lethal Concentration. This research was conducted at the health research and development center laboratory of tanah bumbu. The research method is true experimental with a posttest-only control group design. The number of samples was 720 larvae of Aedes albopictus instar III. The results of measurement of papaya leaf ethanol extract showed a concentration of 7% showed a result of 19.2%, a concentration of 8% showed a result of 30.8%, a concentration of 9% showed a result of 40.8%, and a concentration of 10% showed a result of 50.8% after 24 hours measurement. The results of the Kruskall Wallis test showed that the papaya leaf ethanol extract concentrations of 7%, 8%, 9%, and 10% all showed values <0.05, which means there was a significant difference. The results of the probit test showed that the LT50 value of 10% concentration was 22.798 hours and the LT99 value of 10% concentration was 58.724 hours. The results of the probit test showed that the LC50 value within 10 hours was 6.781% and the LC99 value within 10 hours was 45.893%. Further research is needed to determine the concentration of papaya leaf extract to kill 100% of Aedes albopictus larvae.
