Abstract

The background of this research is because Online learning is carried out as a strategic choice in stopping the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in the world of educationhave negatif effect to the learning process at school. The purpose of this research is to find out how 1.) How do the English teachers implemented online assessment during Covid 19 and 2) The problems and solution face by teacher s to implemented online assessment during Covid 19. This research method uses This research uses a descriptive qualitative method because it is designed to describe Teacher Experience In Analyzing Learning assessment In Covid 19 Time at The SMPN 5 Banjarmasin for the 2020-2021 Acadenic Year. The results of the study found evidence that 1) The English teachers implemented online assessment during Covid 19 using Information Computer Technology such us laptop, computer, and android in online through internet connection. It can use website, social media, or application as Google Class Room (GC) and Google Form (GF) for Online assessment is the simplest and safer because the questions were given the time limit so it will not give the students extra time to find the answer by googling on Internet and 2) The problems faced by the teacher during online teaching for the students, more than 40% did not pay attention to the links sent, because they were working from home so they could not be monitored directly. While at school or face-to-face teachers can reprimand directly, another obstacle is students who do not have cellphones due to economic factors. The solution, the first is for students who do not have cellphones, our parents ask to come to school, for students who do not have cellphones students can use the laboratory room, while for students who are able and have cellphones but are less enthusiastic about participating in learning, the teacher will make home visits and provide understanding to parents that their children need to be directed to take learning more seriously
