Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan temulawak (Curcuma zanthorrhiza L), vitamin E dan kombinasinya terhadap konsumsi pakan dan produksi susu kambing PE. Materi penelitian terdiri dari 4 ekor kambing PE laktasi. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah hijauan, konsentrat dan penambahan 2% temulawak serta vitamin E 400 IU. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Bujur Sangkar Latin (RBSL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang di uji adalah P0 (Pakan kontrol) P1 (Pakan basal + 2% Temulawak) P2 (Pakan basal + vitamin E) P3 ( Pakan basal + 2% Temulawak + vitamin E). Variabel yang diamati adalah konsumsi pakan, produksi susu dan kondisi lingkungan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Analisis ragam dan apabila terjadi pengaruh nyata dilajutkan dengan uji DMRT. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan temulawak dan vitamin E terhadap produksi susu kambing PE berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05). Hasil pengukuran volume susu pada perlakuan P1 (Temulawak) diperoleh nilai produksi susu yang lebih baik dan menghasilkan rataan volume susu 695,83 ml/ekor dibandingkan dengan perlakuan P2 (vitamin E) 675,00 ml/ekor dan P3 kombinasinya (temulawak + vitamin E) 616,25 ml/ekor. Kondisi lingkungan antara suhu dan kelembaban kandang kambing PE menunjukkan hasil yang normal dengan kisaran suhu 27,93-30,8°C dan kelembaban 79-87%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of curcuma (Curcuma zanthorrhiza L), vitamin E and their combination on feed consumption and goat’s PE milk production. The feed ingredients used were forage, concentrate and the addition of 2% ginger and vitamin E 400 IU. The experimental design used was the Latin Square Design (RBSL) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments tested were P0 (control feed) P1 (control feed + 2% curcuma) P2 (control feed + Vitamin E) P3 (control feed + 2% curcuma + vitamin E). The variables observed were feed consumption, milk production and environmental conditions. The analysis used was analysis of variety and if there was a significant effect, continued with DMRT test. Based on the results of the analysis of variance, it was shown that the use of t curcuma and vitamin E on the milk production of PE goats had a significant effect (P<0.05). The results of measuring the volume of milk in treatment P1 (Curcuma) obtained a better milk production value and resulted in an average milk volume of 695,83ml/head compared to treatment P2 (Vitamin E) 675,00ml/head and P3 Combination (curcuma + vitamin E) 616,25ml/head. Environmental conditions between temperature and humidity of PE goat cages showed normal results with a temperature range of 27,93-30,8°C and humidity of 79-87%.
