Abstract

One of the water sources in South Kalimantan is natural well water and bore well water. Cloudy well water is the most common problem related to the existence of clean water in Indonesia. The place for testing samples and data collection was carried out at the Banjarmasin Health Laboratory. Sampling was carried out in the peat well, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The research uses a filtration method using silica sand media, zeolite, activated carbon, manganese, pure it filter and additional ultraviolet light. The results showed a decrease in the degree of optimal acidity (pH) in the variation of Filter 1 (F1) 1.47% and an increase in the degree of acidity (pH) optimally in the variation of Filter (F2) 1.47% and (F3) 5.88%. The increase in total hardness (CaCO3) is optimal for variations in efficiency at Filter (F1) 49%, (F2) 25% and (F3) 49%. Calculations using ANOVA show that filter variations (F1), (F2), and (F3) have an effect on the value of the degree of acidity (pH), and also affect the increase in total hardness (CaCO3).
