Abstract

One of the factors influencing patient satisfaction of JKN-KIS BPJS Health participants is the effectiveness of interpersonal communication of health workers, especially doctors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the effectiveness of interpersonal communication between health workers and the level of satisfaction of JKN-KIS BPJS Health participants at the Dharma Usada Barabai Clinic. The study design uses an analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The population was JKN- KIS BPJS Health participants in Dharma Usada Barabai Clinic as many as 1,076 patient visits. A partial sample of the population of 91 people was taken by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis through the Fisher Exact test used a 95% confidence level. Interpersonal communication of health workers was mostly quite effective at 81 people (89%) and JKN-KIS Health BPJS participants were mostly satisfied at 63 people (69,2%) (p value = 0.028). Doctors who are on duty at the Dharma Usada Clinic can improve effective communication with patients, especially JKN-KIS Health BPJS participants.
