Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh penggunaan temulawak (Curcuma Zanthorrhiza L), vitamin E (α-Tocopherol) dan kombinasinya terhadap kualitas air susu Kambing PE. Materi yang dipergunakan adalah 4 ekor kambing PE laktasi. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah hijauan dan dedak padi. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Bujur Sangkar Latin (RBSL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu P0 (Pakan basal), P1 (Pakan Basal + 2% Temulawak), P2 (Pakan Basal + Vitamin E), dan P3 (Pakan Basal + 2% Temulawak + Vitamin E). Variabel yang diamati adalah kualitas susu, pH susu dan kondisi lingkungan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Homogenitas, Analisis Ragam dan DMRT. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan temulawak dan vitamin E terhadap kadar bahan kering dan kadar protein susu kambing PE berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05), namun pada pH perlakuan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata. Dari hasil pengukuran kadar bahan kering diperoleh nilai 17,24% pada perlakuan P3 (Pakan Basal + 2% Temulawak + Vitamin E) dan dari hasil pengukuran kadar protein diperoleh nilai 4,52% pada perlakuan P3 (Pakan Basal + 2% Temulawak + Vitamin E). Namun untuk pH susu semua perlakuan tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap pH. Sedangkan kondisi lingkungan antara suhu dan kelembaban kandang kambing menunjukkan hasil yang normal berkisar suhu antara 27,93 –30,8°C dan kelembaban 79% -87%. This study aims to determine effect the use curcuma (Curcuma zanthorrhiza L), vitamin E (α-Tocopherol) and the combination the quality of milk goat’s PE. The material used was 4 lactation goat’s PE. Feed ingredient used is forage and rice bran. The experimental design used a Latin Square Design (RBSL) with 4 treatments and 4 replication. The treatment applied is P0 (Basal feed), P1 (Basal feed + 2% Curcuma), P2 (Basal feed + Vitamin E), dan P3 (Basal feed + 2% Curcuma + Vitamin E). The variable observed was the quality of milk, pH of milk and environmental condition. The analysisused is homogeneity, variant and DMRT analysis. Based on results analysis of variance indicated that use curcuma and vitamin E on the dry matter contect and protein of milk goat PE had a significant effect (P < 0,05), but the pH of the treatment did not show a significant difference. From the results of the measuring of the dry matter contect a value 17,24% was obtained in the P3 treatments (Basal Feed + 2% Curcuma + Vitamin E) and from the result of the measuring of the protein content a value 4,52% was obtained in the P3 treatments (Basal Feed + 2% Curcuma + Vitamin E). But for milk pH all treatments had no effect on pH. While the environmental condition between temperature and humidity of the goat cage show normal results range in temperature between 27,93 – 30,8°C and humifity 79% - 87%.
