Abstract

This study discussed and analysed of the use English song to help students vocabulary enhancement. Vocabulary is one of the important compulsory subject that need to be taught to support learners in mastering language skill. The purpose of the study is to determine the students’ perception on the use English song particular attention on students vocabulary enhancement. In this research, the researcher used qualitative approach as a research design. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Tapin. The research participants were 5 students who have been experience learning with english song before. In collecting the data, the researcher used three kinds of research intruments, they were : Observation, Interview and Documentation. The Interview was conducted online, via whatssapp application with the teacher and participants. To analyze qualitative data, data were obtained from observation and interview with both subject, which were then collected in narrative form. The result of the research are as follows : Students’ perception on the use english song particular attention on students vocabulary enhancement are 1) students become interested in learning english by using song as media 2) learning english by using english song is effective 3) English skill can be increased by using English song in learning 4) English song can enhanced students vocabulary.
