Abstract
Vaccination is the administration of vaccines to actively increase a person's immunity against a disease, so that when exposed to a disease they only experience mild illness and do not become a source of transmission. Vaccination of schoolchildren in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency has reached 57.80% of the first dose and 12.77% have carried out the complete vaccine. This study aims to identify students' perceptions and knowledge and analyze students' perceptions and knowledge to implement the COVID-19 vaccination program for students at MTSN 2 Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency in 2021. This study is an analytical study with a cross sectional approach. The population is all students of MTSN 2 as many as 962 students with a random sampling technique of 91 respondents. The research instrument used questionnaires, interviews and data analysis techniques with chi square. Based on the results of the study, 35 (83.3%) students who had a positive perception had carried out the COVID-19 vaccination program and 29 (59.2%) students who had a negative perception of not implementing the COVID-19 vaccination program. Students who have good knowledge by implementing the COVID-19 vaccination program are 14 (61.7%) and students who have less knowledge by not implementing the COVID-19 vaccination program are 20 (55.6%). There is a relationship between perception and (p value (0.000) <0.05 and knowledge (p-value (0.010) <0.05 in the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination program). It is hoped that there will be collaboration between health workers (health centers and health offices) and parents. students and schools to make it easier for the COVID-19 vaccination program to run. Vaksinasi adalah pemberian vaksin dalam meningkatkan kekebalan seseorang secara aktif terhadap suatu penyakit, sehingga saat terpajan dengan penyakit hanya mengalami sakit ringan dan tidak menjadi sumber penularan. Vaksinasi anak sekolah di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah sudah 57.80% dosis pertama dan 12.77% yang melaksanakan vaksin lengkap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi dan pengetahuan siswa serta menganalisis persepsi dan pengetahuan siswa untuk melaksanaka program vaksinasi COVID-19 pada siswa MTSN 2 Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah tahun 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa MTSN 2 sebanyak 962 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara random sampling yaitu 91 responden. Instrument penelitian menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara dan teknik analisis data dengan chi square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan 35 (83,3%) siswa yang memiliki persepsi positif telah melaksanakan program vaksinasi COVID-19 dan siswa yang memiliki persepsi negatif yang tidak melaksanakan program vaksinasi COVID-19 sebesar 29 (59,2%). Siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan baik dengan melaksanakan program vaksinasi COVID-19 sebesar 14 (61,7%) dan siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang dengan tidak melaksanakan program vaksinasi COVID-19 sebesar 20 (55,6%). Adanya hubungan persepsi dengan (p value (0,000)<0,05 dan pengetahuan (p-value (0,010)<0,05 dalam pelaksanaan program vaksinasi COVID-19. Diharapkan adanya kerjasama antara petugas kesehatan (puskesmas dan dinas kesehatan) dengan orang tua siswa serta pihak sekolah untuk mempermudah program vaksinasi COVID-19 ini berjalan.
