Abstract

: The objectives of this research were: 1. To determine the extent to which financial literacy affects saving behavior among Economics Faculty students at UNISKA in 2020. 2. To understand how self-control influences saving behavior among Economics Faculty students at UNISKA in 2020. 3. To evaluate the simultaneous influence of financial literacy and self-control on saving behavior among Economics Faculty students at UNISKA in 2020.This study utilized multiple linear regression analysis with financial literacy (X1) and self-control (X2) as independent variables and saving behavior (Y) as the dependent variable. The sample consisted of 87 respondents, and data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and direct observations. The findings revealed that financial literacy significantly influences saving behavior, while selfcontrol also plays a crucial role in shaping good saving habits. Moreover, the model's feasibility test indicated that financial literacy and self-control collectively significantly impact students' saving behavior. Integrating financial literacy and self-control in financial education can enhance students' saving behavior, leading to longterm benefits in achieving financial stability and well-being.To enhance students' saving behavior, it is recommended to integrate financial literacy programs into the educational curriculum and complement them with the development of financial tools and self-control campaigns. Keywords: Financial literacy, Self-control, Saving behavior.
