Abstract
Anemia is an indicator of nutrition in poor health. The most common cause of anemia is iron deficiency, due to prolonged iron imbalance caused by lack of iron intake or food intake that is not strong. Anemia in pregnant women can affect fetal growth and development in the womb and be a risk factor at the time of labor. One of the factors that cause anemia in pregnancy is lack of nutritional knowledge and the risk of chronic lack of energy (KEK). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nutritional knowledge and chronic energy deficiency (KEK) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Martapura Health Center 2. This of research is on cross sectional with for 57 pregnant women as sample. The research was done in Martapura Health Center 2 in March - July 2019. Sample was taken by accidental sampling technique. Measurement of nutritional knowledge of pregnant women was obtained using a questionnaire, measurement of LILA using LILA tipe was carried out to obtain data on KEK and the data of anemia was obtained from the measurement of hemoglobin in pregnant women. The data was analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis was done by using Chi-square test. The results showed that 42% of adequate nutrition knowledge, 44% had KEK and there were 53% anemia in pregnant women. The results of the chi-square analysis showed that there was a relationship between nutrition knowledge (p-value = 0,000) and KEK (p-value = 0,000) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Martapura Health Center 2. It is expected that Martapura 2 Community Health Center should increase the socialization regarding the importance of nutrition for pregnant women so that anemia does not occur during pregnancy.
