Abstract

Research objectives 1) To determine the effectiveness of the Population Administration Information System including human resources, population data, facilities and infrastructure at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Tanah Bumbu Regency. 2) To find out what efforts were made by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Tanah Bumbu Regency in overcoming the obstacles that occurred. The research method uses a qualitative method approach, with a descriptive research type. Data was collected by direct observation at the Tanah Bumbu District Population and Civil Registration Service by conducting direct interviews with the Service staff. Data analysis used qualitative research by means of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions The results of the research show that the effectiveness of the Tanah Bumbu Population and Civil Registry Service (Dukcapil) has succeeded in achieving their goals in processing population documents. Dukcapil Tanah Bumbu has an effective monitoring and evaluation mechanism. However, routine maintenance and maintenance of the hardware and software of the Dukcapil service system is urgently needed. Dukcapil also focuses on adaptation to changes in population-related policies, by developing the SIAK system and providing maximum service to the community. Dukcapil Tanah Bumbu has made various efforts to overcome obstacles in population services. The strategy implemented is developing the SIAK system as a "one door" application to provide efficient and integrated services to the community. In addition, efforts were also made to improve IT infrastructure and improve coordination with related agencies.
