Abstract

This study aims to determine the hydroponic cultivation technique of lettuce, the amount of revenue, income, benefits of hydroponic lettuce cultivation and the impact of hydroponic lettuce business on household income in the Landasan Ulin District. The method used is a survey method and sampling using the census method of 15 respondents with the criteria of respondents who grow lettuce plants hydroponically and have their own land or instlsi. The results showed that the hydroponic cultivation technique of lettuce started from the preparation of tools, materials for installation, seeding, planting, maintenance and harvesting. The obstacles faced by the respondents were the problem of hot temperatures and frog eye fungus caused by rainwater. Revenue from hydroponic lettuce plants obtained by respondents in a period of one year is Rp. 67,690.00 with an average of Rp. 4,512,668.67/ year. The hydroponic lettuce business income is Rp. 53.127.995 with an average of Rp. 3.541.866/ year. The profit from the hydroponic lettuce business is Rp. 48.183.990 with an average of Rp. 3.212.266/ year and the contribution to household income was 19.26%. This shows that hydroponic lettuce income is able to contribute to households in Landasan Ulin District and hydroponic lettuce business with a large contribution of 19.26% which has a very positive impact on households.
